2. Plan the diary, then pad the diary

It’s tempting to cram installations back‑to‑back, but even a well‑oiled team needs breathing space. Build in at least half a day’s contingency each week for overruns, traffic or last‑minute client tweaks. Those buffers can be the difference between a calm hand‑over and a 10 p.m. finish.

3. Keep cool (literally)

PVC performs brilliantly in warm environments – people, less so. Working in PPE on a hot site is draining, so:

• Start earlier while the building is cooler

  
  

• Rotate tasks to share the load

  
  

• Stay hydrated – water coolers cost less than call‑backs caused by fatigue

4. Delegate the paperwork

Site diaries, RAMS updates, proof‑of‑delivery slips… admin piles up fast in peak season. Wherever possible:
