Project overview
Heather Ward at King George Hospital has undergone a full refurbishment, transforming the environment into a modern, clinically efficient space that improves patient experience and supports high standards of infection prevention and control. Working in partnership with T&B Contractors, the project focused on delivering durable, hygienic and compliant solutions that aligned with HBN requirements and supported the trust's long-term maintenance strategy.
The contractor’s perspective
T&B Contractors emphasised the importance of understanding the architect’s vision and selecting a supply chain that could meet the trust’s needs. With tight programmes and demanding timescales, collaboration played a central role in ensuring that products were manufactured, delivered and installed efficiently without compromising on quality or compliance.
“We choose our supply chain very carefully, ensuring they understand HBN requirements, IPC needs, and that their products ultimately meet the trust’s needs.”
Logan McKinlay, T&B Contractors
